What are the requirements for the site for the installation and customization of injection molding manipulator?

When installing and customizing the injection molding manipulator, there are the following requirements for the site:

I. Spatial layout

Working area

Space around the injection molding machine: First of all, consider the size of the injection molding machine itself and the working range of the manipulator. The manipulator needs enough space to stretch and move when taking out the product from the injection molding machine mold and placing the product. Generally speaking, the space for the maximum working stroke of the manipulator in the horizontal and vertical directions should be reserved in front of and above the injection molding machine, plus a certain safety margin. For example, if the maximum horizontal extension distance of the manipulator is 1.5 meters and the maximum vertical lifting height is 1 meter, then at least 2-2.5 meters should be reserved in front of the injection molding machine and 1.5-2 meters above it to avoid the manipulator colliding with surrounding walls and equipment.

Product placement area: it is necessary to reserve suitable space for the manipulator to place products. If the product is placed on the conveyor belt, the position and length of the conveyor belt and the cooperation with the manipulator should be considered. Usually, the conveyor belt should be placed where the manipulator can easily reach it, and there should be enough space around it to facilitate the subsequent inspection and packaging of products. For the case of placing directly in the tray or storage box, the placement position and replacement method of the tray or storage box, as well as the operating space of operators or other automatic equipment (such as automatic palletizers) should be considered.

Repair and maintenance space

Sufficient space should be reserved for the repair and maintenance of the manipulator. This includes easy access for maintenance personnel to open the shell of the manipulator and access to various key components (such as motors, transmission mechanisms, controllers, etc.). On the side and back of the manipulator, it is generally recommended to reserve at least 0.8-1m space, so that the maintenance personnel can use tools to carry out operations such as maintenance and replacement of parts. At the same time, this space is also convenient for regular cleaning, lubrication and other maintenance work of the manipulator.

Second, the ground conditions

carrying capacity

Injection molding manipulator will produce certain vibration and impact force during its work, especially when it moves at high speed and grabs heavy products. Therefore, the ground of the site needs to have enough bearing capacity to support the weight of the manipulator and injection molding machine, as well as the dynamic load generated during the work. For the combination of small injection molding manipulator and injection molding machine, the ground bearing capacity is generally required to be not less than 500-1000 kg/m; For large and heavy equipment combination, the ground bearing capacity may need to reach more than 2000-5000 kg/m. If the bearing capacity of the ground is insufficient, it may lead to problems such as ground subsidence and equipment inclination, which will affect the normal work and accuracy of the manipulator.

The bearing capacity can be improved by strengthening the ground (such as increasing the thickness of concrete and laying steel plates). In some newly-built factories, suitable ground structures can be designed in advance according to the weight and layout of equipment; For the existing workshop, it is necessary to evaluate the ground and transform it if necessary.

planeness

The ground of the site should be kept flat to ensure the installation accuracy and working stability of the injection molding manipulator. Generally speaking, the flatness of the ground should not exceed ±3-±5mm per meter. If the ground is uneven, the base of the manipulator will not be installed horizontally, which will affect the motion accuracy of the manipulator and lead to position deviation when grabbing and placing products. Before installing the manipulator, the ground needs to be measured and leveled, and tools such as a level can be used for detection, and uneven places can be trimmed by grinding and filling.

Third, environmental factors

Temperature and humidity

Injection molding manipulator usually has certain requirements for the temperature and humidity of the working environment. Generally speaking, the temperature should be kept at 18-25℃. Excessive temperature may lead to overheating of the motor, controller and other electrical components of the manipulator, affecting its performance and life; If the temperature is too low, some lubricating grease may solidify and increase the friction resistance of mechanical parts. In terms of humidity, the relative humidity should be kept at 40%-60%. High humidity environment may cause electrical components to be wet and short-circuited, and may also cause metal components to rust; Low humidity environment is easy to generate static electricity, causing damage to electronic components. If the ambient temperature and humidity of the factory building do not meet the requirements, air conditioning system and dehumidification/humidification equipment can be considered for adjustment.

cleanliness

In the processing of precision plastic parts, the site needs to maintain a certain degree of cleanliness for occasions with high cleanliness requirements. For example, in the production of optical lenses, medical plastic products and other products, pollutants such as dust and impurities in the air may attach to the product surface or enter the mold of injection molding machine, which will affect the product quality. Therefore, the site should minimize pollution sources such as dust and flying flowers. We can improve the cleanliness of the site by installing air filtration system, keeping the site clean, sealing doors and windows and other measures to ensure that the injection manipulator works in a relatively clean environment.

electromagnetic interference

Because the control system of injection molding manipulator works based on electronic components and electrical signals, electromagnetic interference in the surrounding environment should be avoided. For example, it should be avoided to install the manipulator near strong electromagnetic interference sources such as large motors, transformers and high-frequency welding equipment. If it is unavoidable, effective electromagnetic shielding measures should be taken, such as using shielded cables and installing electromagnetic shielding covers, to ensure that the control system of the manipulator can work normally and avoid signal transmission errors or equipment failures.
